What the metro produces
Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, Anoka, Washington and Scott counties cover a wide range of building types: downtown office towers, medical campuses, warehouses along the river and interstate corridors, and manufacturing in the outer ring.
That mix produces every category we buy: building wire from commercial fit-outs, tray and VFD cable from industrial work, Cat 6 from tenant improvements, and medium-voltage cable from campus distribution projects.
Where surplus tends to sit
- Contractor shops and trailers in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the first-ring suburbs
- Distributor warehouses in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove and Eagan
- Plant maintenance cribs in the industrial corridors
- Property management storage in downtown buildings
- Job-site containers waiting for a project close-out
Logistically, the metro is easy
Metro pickup notes
- Access
- Dock, forklift, ground-level garage, job container
- Timing
- Weekday business hours, appointment preferred
- Traffic
- Early morning and late afternoon loads take longer
- Typical loads
- Partial reels, palletized overstock, mixed control spools
Access and quantity decide the schedule. Tell us about ramps, garages and tight alleys.
Downtown pickups need planning: loading zones, freight elevators and building security all take time, and a 4,000 lb reel does not fit in a passenger elevator.

FAQ
Questions we get from sellers
Can you pick up in downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul?
Yes, with a scheduled window and a plan for the loading zone and freight elevator. Tell us the building requirements when you send the inventory.
Do you combine several metro loads into one trip?
Frequently. Metro pickups are often routed together, which is why smaller loads in the metro are easier to handle than smaller loads in outstate Minnesota.
Do you work with property managers and building engineers?
Yes. Tenant improvement leftovers and building storage cleanouts are common metro loads.
